Original Design Manufacturer refers to a company that designs and manufactures a product that is ultimately rebranded and sold by another company.

Unlike an OEM, who manufactures to another company’s specifications, an ODM typically provides both the product design and the production, allowing the buyer to private‑label or customize the final product without developing it from scratch.
