Code 128 is a high‑density, linear barcode symbology capable of encoding the full ASCII character set (0–127), including numbers, letters, symbols, and control characters. It is defined by ISO/IEC 15417 and is widely used in warehousing, logistics, shipping, asset tracking, and internal labeling due to its compact size and flexibility.
It is one of the most efficient linear barcodes for encoding long strings of numeric or alphanumeric data, producing shorter barcodes than formats.
