ITF‑14 is a GS1 standard barcode used to encode a GTIN‑14 for identifying cases, cartons, and higher‑level packaging units in the supply chain. It is not used at point of sale. ITF‑14 is optimized for printing on corrugated cardboard, making it ideal for distribution, warehousing, and logistics environments.

GS1 describes ITF‑14 as a barcode used specifically for trade item groupings (e.g., cases, cartons, multipacks) and not intended for POS scanning.
